  • 1. What is the best natural candles wax

Soy wax is ideal for making natural container candles, pillar candles, and tealights. Eco-friendly and derived from soybean oil, soy wax releases no toxins and is fully biodegradable. It also typically offers longer burn times.

At Noel Candle, we predominantly use soy wax for our candle jars (container candles). Additionally, we blend soy wax with beeswax to create our pillar candles.

Noel Candle would like to emphasize the importance of choosing the right type of soy wax. You can purchase both soft soy wax and hard soy wax. Typically, soft soy wax is used for container candles, while hard soy wax is ideal for pillar candles.

  • 2. Tips for selecting scents by Noel Candle

Here are some tips to consider when selecting a scent:

    • Purpose: Consider what type of product you are making, such as scented candles, diffusers, room sprays, etc.
    • Environment: Think about where the scent will be used, such as a bathroom, spa, beauty shop, bedroom, office, smoking area, etc.
    • Scent Strength and Heat Resistance: For scented candles, it’s important to choose a scent with medium or high heat resistance rather than low heat resistance to ensure it performs well.
    • Personal Preference: Ultimately, choose a scent that you like and enjoy.

  • 3. What is the candle safety rules customer need to know before using candle?

    Candle Safety

Please also read the safety rules below before you purchase and use the candle

Read the below safety rules before purchasing and useing candle

    1. Always keep a burning candle within sight.
    • Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep. Be sure the wick ember is no longer glowing.

    2. Be sure the candle-holder is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
    • You can use the lid of the candle for this purpose. This can help prevent heat damage to underlying surfaces and prevent glass containers from

    3. Always ensure the first burn is for approximately 3-4 hours.
    • This should be sufficient time to create a wax pool that covers the surface of the candle and will stop “tunnelling” from occurring.

    4. Do not burn a candle next to a secondary heat source
    • Burning a candle next to a hot fire is highly dangerous. It causes an uneven burn and will result in an extremely hot glass, particularly on one side, that could well explode and cause damage and possible fire.

    5. Don’t burn a candle all the way down.
    • Extinguish the flame if it comes too close to the holder or container. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when half an inch is left in a container candle. NEVER expose the metal sustainers.

    6. Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from a glass holder.
    • It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent use.

    7. Use a snuffer to extinguish a candle.
    • It’s the safest way to prevent hot wax splatters.

    8. Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high.
    • The candle isn’t burning properly. Cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before relighting

    9. Trim candlewicks to ¼ inch each time before burning.
    • Long or crooked wicks cancause uneven burning and dripping.

    10. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
    • Keep burning candles away from furniture, drapes, bedding, carpets, books, paper, flammable decorations, etc.

    11. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

    12. Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents.
    • This will help prevent rapid, uneven burning, and avoid flame flare-ups and sooting. Drafts can also blow nearby lightweight items into the flame where they could catch fire.

    13. Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room.
    • Don’t burn too many candles in a small room or in a “tight” home where air exchange is limited..

    14. Never touch or move a burning candle or container candle when the wax is liquid.

    15. Place burning candles at least three inches apart from one another.
    • This helps ensure they don’t melt one another, or create their own drafts to cause improper burning.

    16. Never extinguish candles with water.
    • The water can cause the hot wax to splatter and might cause a glass container to break.

    17. Never use a candle as a night light

    18. Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.
  • 4. Why the container candle has an uneven surface and a depression in the middle,

Why tje container candle has an uneven surface and a depression in the middle, this is usually caused by the following reasons:

    1. Cooling Too Quickly:

      • Cause: If the candle cools too quickly during the cooling process, the surface will contract, forming a depression.
      • Solution: Try allowing the candle to cool naturally at room temperature, rather than placing it in a cooling environment. Using pre-warmed containers can also help the candle cool evenly.
    2. Wax Temperature:

      • Cause: If the wax temperature is not appropriate when pouring, it can affect the shape during the cooling process.
      • Solution: Ensure the wax is at the correct pouring temperature based on the type of wax (e.g., soy wax or beeswax). Typically, soy wax should be poured at 120-140°F (49-60°C), while beeswax requires a higher temperature.
    3. Wax Shrinkage Characteristics:

      • Cause: Some waxes naturally shrink during the cooling process, especially in the center. This is a common phenomenon.
      • Solution: After the initial pour, let the candle cool slightly until a thin skin forms on the surface, then top it off with more wax to fill the depression.
    4. Container and Environmental Factors:

      • Cause: The material of the container and the ambient temperature can affect the cooling and shrinking of the wax.
      • Solution: Ensure the container is clean and pre-warmed, and make the candle in a stable room temperature environment.
    5. Mixing Uniformity:

      • Cause: If the wax and other additives (like fragrance oils or dyes) are not mixed uniformly, it can lead to an uneven surface.
      • Solution: Ensure the wax and additives are thoroughly mixed before pouring to maintain uniformity.

In summary, to address the issues of uneven surfaces and depressions in the center, focus on controlling the cooling speed, adjusting the pouring temperature, understanding the shrinkage characteristics of the wax, preheating the container, and ensuring uniform mixing. These steps will help create smooth, aesthetically pleasing container candles.
